Founded at Christ Church Episcopal in 1991 as Rainbow House, Rainbow Village (RV) has served more than 1000 homeless families with children.  Rainbow Village’s mission is to transform lives for homeless families in north metro Atlanta through a community-based transitional housing program that promotes self-sufficiency through a comprehensive educational program over one to two years.  From the original duplex the program has now grown to a self-contained campus with a family service center and capable of housing 12 families.

The Rev. Nancy Yancey, CEO, and her family were parishioners of Christ Church Episcopal from 1979-2008.  Nancy served as an ordained deacon at Christ Church Episcopal from 1998 until 2008 when plans for the Rainbow Village capital campaign were launched.  Christ Church parishioners are actively involved with Rainbow Village – serving as volunteers, on the board of directors and one member serves as their accountant.  Our ongoing support and dedication to this ministry is both needed and appreciated.
