The Stephen Ministry is a confidential one-on-one caring ministry.  Each minister participates in 50 hours of intensive and structured training, works under supervision, and observes strict confidentiality.  Ministers are available for services as a listener and will provide support to anyone seeking their help in times of transition, loss, anxiety, grief, or trouble.  Stephen Ministry is a meaningful way for Christ Church members to more fully use our many talents in sharing one another’s burdens and joys by reaching out to others. Ministers come from all walks of life, age ranges, and backgrounds.

Stephen Ministers are not professional psychologists; experts in law, medicine, or church doctrine; or social workers with access to extensive physical services, but neither are they superficial “visitors” who merely “drop in” from time to time.  If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister or if you are in need of a Stephen Minister to talk to, please contact Leslie Wengenroth.
