The Rev. Ceci Duke, Rector of Christ Church
Episcopal (effective March 8, 2009)
Ceci has served as Associate Rector at St. Peter and St. Paul's, Marietta; St. Michael and All Angels, Stone Mountain; and St. Patrick's, Dunwoody since her ordination in our Diocese in 1999. She has served on several Diocesan Commissions, including Ministry and Education and has served as Chaplain for the Order of the Daughters of the King. Ceci graduated from Emory's Candler School of Theology and completed her undergraduate work with a BA in Education from Virginia Tech. She holds Masters and Specialist in Education Degrees from Georgia State University. Before entering seminary, Ceci taught and served as a school counselor in Gwinnett County elementary schools. Ceci lives with her husband David, a documentary filmmaker, and her two "grown" sons, John and Craig, in Lilburn. John is a graduate student in film at NYU and Craig is a second year student studying music theory at FSU. Both Ceci and her family are musically talented and we look forward to David's joining our choir (and Craig's participation during school breaks) Ceci enjoys hiking, tennis (which she taught in Europe), reading, singing and playing the piano, cooking, and pet care. |
